Shepherds of Faith

Shepherds of Faith (SOF) is a laity missionary movement with a strong Christian value of charity under the Eparchy of Mississauga. The primary focus of SOF is supporting the missionary activities under the ecclesial guidance of the Church to serve the needy in our Syro-Malabar communities across Canada.  By the generosity of its members and other donors, SOF endeavors to provide pastoral care to some of the needy, most isolated, and vulnerable communities and people amongst us, nurturing fellowship, and integral youth development. Our core values are:

 ‘Compassionate love, Inclusiveness, Excellence, Collaboration, Accountability, and Divine Intercession’.

The generosity of its members played a pivotal role to provide pastoral care to 25 missions in the year 2019 across Canada. Currently, SOF has over 300 members who contribute a monthly donation of $50. This act of charity has a direct spiritual impact on our fellow Catholics as we enable them to celebrate Holy Mass in their liturgical rite, confess in Malayalam, and an opportunity for their children to benefit from faith formation classes.  SOF supports the following missions and mass centers in Canada:  Dawson Creek, Fort Mac- Murray, St.  John, Grande Prairie, Grimshaw, High Level, McLennan, Yorkton, Regina, Moose Jaw, North Battleford, Lloydminster, Saskatoon, Peterborough, Cambridge, Sudbury, Montreal, and Ottawa.
