CLASH OF THE CLASSICS SMYM YOUTH PICNIC

On August 19, 2023, the SMYM National Youth had their annual youth picnic called the “Clash of the Classics.” It was held at Erindale Park from 2-7 pm. Running on the theme of classic movie or T.V. show characters as team names, the youth had a great time dressing up, making team chants and posters, and participating in the different team games. Around 70 youth attended the picnic and had an amazing afternoon with delicious food, awesome FUN games, and great team spirit. Congratulations to the entire SMYM national team and the games team for putting together such an amazing picnic. It was months of hard work and time that had gone into planning and coordinating this picnic, and the team did a great job. A BIG shoutout to all our parents and volunteers that had come out to help with the picnic, with the BBQ and joining in with the kids! Thank you to Fr. Augustine, Fr. Joyal and Sisters for actively guiding the team in its planning and for also becoming an active part of the picnic. The highlight of the picnic was the tug of war that ended off the night on a happy and had everyone come together. It was truly a memorable team, and we are looking forward to the next one!
